Writer's picture: HappyBestUHappyBestU

Everyone gets depressed or sad sometimes. One of the hidden keys to happiness is to always have something to look forward to. This can be as simple as a daily item on your to do list (like a relaxing bath) or a large scale event like a vacation. Everyone knows someone who is stressed and desperately needs a vacation. It can be very easy to fall into a day to day trap with nothing to look forward to. This will only perpetuate negative feelings. When we anticipate a rewarding event or activity, our brain releases those feel good emotions.

So start planning on a small and large scale things that you enjoy. Daily things can be enjoying a delicious meal, watching favorite movies or shows, relaxing with a good book.

Don't take these small things for granted, enjoy them every day.

Plan out other events like seeing friends, vacations, concerts, etc. No matter what it is large or small, your brain will release happiness emotions in anticipation of, and during the activity or event. Take time to live in the moment, keep rewarding yourself and happy planning!
