1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 T fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup water
Combine ingredients; take 1 tablespoon every few hours as needed to calm cough and soothe throat, store in fridge. This was the ONLY thing that calmed my cough and got me through the night. (No drugs or chemicals!) Be sure to gargle it before you drink it. it REALLY works on contact. *** For extreme cases of cough before bed, take a long hot shower to relax your body and clear airways, then gargle/drink the syrup. Last, sleep with a few pillows propped up to prevent the cough from reoccurring.
